1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using DocumentBuddy (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DocumentBuddy provides online document conversion, PDF editing, and AI-powered document tools. The Service is available in both free and paid tiers as described on our pricing page.
3. User Accounts
Some features require a user account created via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it.
4. Payment and Billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current period. See our Refund Policy for details.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
- Attempt to bypass usage limits or access controls
- Use the Service to process content you do not have rights to
- Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service infrastructure
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
6. File Handling
Files uploaded to DocumentBuddy are processed temporarily and automatically deleted within 60 minutes. We do not permanently store your documents. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the content you upload and process through the Service. DocumentBuddy does not claim ownership of your files or output.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. DocumentBuddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
